New Series of Japan Travel Vlogs
I just got back from Japan, so it’s time for a fresh series of Japan travel videos. And we’re starting the new series with a travel day video!
As always, I filmed SO MUCH in Japan. I can’t wait to show you everything. I’ll be editing and uploading videos every week on Thursdays at 6pm UK time.

What’s Coming Up
The new series includes videos from Tokyo and some more rural, historic areas in central Japan:
- Favourite places in Tokyo
- Beach day trip from Tokyo to Atami
- Nakasendo Trail – the popular section from Magome to Tsumago (a day trip from Nagoya)
- Takayama
- Shirakawago
- Hida Furukawa – the highlight of the trip, visiting scenes from Your Name.
- Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route – a day trip through the mountains!
- Gran Class on the shinkansen
- Lots of tips and useful guides!

Travel Day Video
The new series starts with a travel day, flying from London Heathrow to Tokyo Haneda Airport. See what it’s like in Premium Economy with British Airways, and how we coped with the 14 hour flight!
The video also includes the arrivals process at the airport, which was the most requested video when I asked what you wanted me to film in Japan.
It also includes taking the train into Tokyo on the Keikyu Line, plus other options for getting into the city. Other practical aspects like this are included in my Japan guide book.
15 Small Tips from my Japan Trip
As soon as I got back, there were a bunch of things I wanted to share with you, so here are 15 small thoughts, tips and things I noticed. Including what’s different about visiting more rural areas in Japan, thoughts on Takayama as an alternative to Kyoto and an overview of what we did – as a taster of what’s coming up!
