Dress Manufacturer Closing Down
Sad news: the manufacturer of the Cakes with Faces dresses is closing down (primarily due to tariffs).
If there’s a dress you’ve had your eye on, I’d recommend ordering it now. Currently there’s good availability for most sizes/designs, but stock is limited.
If you’re in the EU, please order on Etsy.
Will dresses be back, in the future?
I’ll be looking for an alternate manufacturer. However, at this point I don’t know if it’ll be possible.
Over the years, I’ve looked into this several times and it’s very difficult to find a manufacturer that’s:
- Good quality – when I was searching for the current supplier, most of them weren’t as good quality.
- Affordable – I try and keep everything in my shop at a reasonable price.
- Able to produce relatively small quantities (not mass produced).
Getting samples made is a lengthy and expensive process, so it’ll take some time.
At the moment, I don’t know if it’ll be possible to find a good supplier. The dresses may be a different style, they may have to be more expensive and all designs may not be restocked.
Limited Stock Left
There’s limited stock left for each design. If you’ve been meaning to get any of the current dresses, I’d recommend ordering now, while your size is still available.
