We’ll be at Hyper Japan Christmas Market on 27-29 November 2015 at Tobacco Dock in London.
The big news is that Minori will be there! Minori is the icon of Japanese shironuri, which is a unique and creative fashion style. This is an amazing special guest- we can’t believe she’s coming to the UK. You can also see kawaiicore group Lady Baby, who look absolutely hilarious – if you haven’t seen their music video for Nippon Manju, take a look!
Here’s what else you can expect at Hyper Japan:
- Japanese food and drink stalls, and the Sushi Awards.
- Fashion show – and hundreds of people dressed in amazing Japanese street fashion styles and cosplay.
- Bands and music artists on the stage – including Lady Baby, Hatsune Miku and visual kei bands
- Lots of stalls featuring traditional and modern Japanese items – and lots of cute stuff, including an Amuse alpaca photo area from Tofu Cute!
- Watch our video for lots more that’ll be going on at the show!
Cakes with Faces at Hyper Japan
We’ll be there with our t-shirts and designs inspired by Japan and Japanese kawaii style. Come and say hello, chat about Japan and have a photo!
See my designs and get Cakes with Faces t-shirts, cushions, dresses, watches and gifts! Take a look in the online shop to plan what you’re going to get!
New Venue: Tobacco Dock
It’s a completely new venue for Hyper Japan this time, so we’re excited to see what it’s like!
Tobacco Dock is in east London – you can get there from Tower Hill underground station, Shadwell (overground/DLR) or Wapping Station. There’s also a car park, and it’s just outside the congestion zone.
Hyper Japan Floor Plan
There are two levels, and we’ll be on the ground level on stand B05, which is the same level as the entrance. When you go in, go straight ahead, right to the end, and we’ll be in the room on the right. Here’s the floor plan so you can find us:
Hyper Japan Tickets
You can get single day tickets or a 3 day pass. Just like last time, Saturday is divided into two sessions, or you can get a dual ticket.
I’d recommend getting your tickets in advance, because they cost less than on the door. Currently there’s limited availability on Saturday and weekend tickets, so if you want to go, book now! Friday is usually quieter than the weekend, and it’s open late until 9pm, so that’s a good option if you can make it. Remember to check the schedule if there’s something particular you want to see, because not everything’s on every day.
Tickets are available from the Hyper Japan website.
10 Things to Do at Hyper Japan
As well as the stalls, there are always lots of things to do at Hyper Japan – including a stage line-up of performers and bands from Japan! Watch our video for 10 things we’re most looking forward to!
See what it’s like at Hyper Japan
If you’ve never been to Hyper Japan, watch our video from Hyper Japan Festival in the summer, to see what it’s like. We’ll also be making a video at the Christmas Market – just let us know at the show if you’d like to be in it! Our other YouTube videos are all about Japan too, so remember to hit subscribe!
