Hamster Beanie Hat
Originally I got just one hat made as a one-off, to give as a present. But when I posted it online, so many of you liked it that I knew I had to get them made for Cakes with Faces:
Obsessed with Hamsters
If you’ve been following Cakes with Faces, you’ll know I love hamsters, so they often feature in my designs and artwork. They’re just the cutest!
Here’s my hamster Kaiju (he only has 3 legs but he doesn’t let it slow him down one bit!):
A Tiny Hamster Friend
Instead of having the design on the cuff of the beanie like most embroidered hats, I thought it’d be really cute to have the hamster peeping out, as if it’s tucked into the cuff of the hat. A tiny friend to take around with you on winter adventures!
Warm Winter Hat
The hat’s knitted from acrylic yarn (100% vegan), which feels really soft, just like wool. It’s a double layer hat so it’s really warm and cosy.
The size is adult unisex – it’s quite soft and stretchy so will fit most people comfortably.
It’s a gorgeous, deep, rich teal green colour. This particular colour’s very difficult to photograph (I should have learnt from when I made the Bearnana tote bags…!). No amount of Photoshop magic could quite recreate it on screen, so you’ll have to trust me that it looks richer in person – a deep teal green, not too bright or too dark.
