This year for Black Friday, from every order, money will be donated to plant trees.
The trees from Black Friday last year were planted in August 2022, in mangroves that absorb carbon, protect against rising sea levels and help with biodiversity.

As Black Friday becomes more and more dominated by huge corporations, I feel it’s much more meaningful to give something back to help the environment and make Black Friday greener.

Last year we did the same thing, and it was so good to receive an email when the trees were planted:
Eco-Friendly
The environment is very important to me – everyone should do what they can to be more eco-friendly. Here’s what I do at Cakes with Faces:
- Using recyclable packaging.
- Re-using filler packaging from deliveries I’ve received.
- Recycling as much waste as possible.
- Greetings cards, postcards and leaflets are printed on responsibly sourced paper from FSC-certified forests.
- Using electricity from solar panels.
- Asking suppliers to remove unnecessary plastic packaging.
- The t-shirts are printed using water-based ink whenever possible – they’re just as durable and bright as regular plastisol inks but they’re more eco-friendly (and they feel much softer!).

There are multiple Royal Mail strikes in the run-up to Christmas. There will be delays – please order early to allow extra time for gifts to arrive.
