No More Eiga Dorobou
No More Eiga Dorobou (NO MORE 映画泥棒) is a funny Japanese anti movie piracy advert shown in cinemas in Japan. The advert gathered a cult following and spawned merchandise, gachapon, fanart, cosplay costumes and more.
The Eiga Dorobou advert features a movie thief with a camera as a head doing a funny dance in the cinema, and a man with a police light as a head, who arrests him.
I thought the advert was pretty funny, and can’t believe how popular it became. Although I guess the same thing happens in the UK with characters from popular ads.
